politic 政治的な、慎重な、賢明な、政治的な中フランス語のpolitique「政治的な」から。ラテン語のpolicus「都市国家」「市民」「市民的な」、ギリシャ語のpolis「都市国家」「市民的な」が語源で、語源的にはpolice「政治」と同じ。police、politicsと語源は同じ。
